Preformed Windings expand manufacturing into USA.
Coil manufacturing company, Preformed Windings, are to open a new state-of-the-art coil manufacturing facility in the US to supply high quality, rapid response coils for medium and high voltage applications.

Following on from the creation of its new purpose built manufacturing facility in Sheffield, England in 2016 and the successful expansion of its Sales operations in North America over the last two years it is our intention to open a new state-of-the-art US coil manufacturing facility in Birmingham, Alabama, in the second half of 2017.

The new facility will provide closer access to the growing demand for HV coils in North American markets, enhancing the relationship opportunity with its existing and new customer base.

Preformed Windings philosophy of customer responsiveness, market leading lead time and quality of HV coils has proven successful in support of our growth ambitions and this investment is intended to enhance our existing services within a key market and customer base within the North American region.

Its ethos of independence has always been guaranteed and allows both its customers and its partners the confidence that everyone will receive the same level of service, competitive pricing and lead time on offer.

Preformed Windings expansion into North America via the new Birmingham, Alabama manufacturing operation will continue with this ethos and will offer the same level of service, competitive pricing to all of its customers.

The Winners of the 2022 AEMT Awards were announced during a Gala Presentation Ceremony in Coventry on Thursday 17th November. With a near record attendance, from right across the electrical and mechanical trades arena, the evening once again proved to be a wonderful evening of reward and celebration. Following the success of the previous four years, there was a good deal of excitement and anticipation ahead of the event with attendees eager to unite and engage with their colleagues and peers.

As we hurtle towards the end of another turbulent year, energy costs and the Chancellor’s new ‘mini-budget’ are at the forefront of our minds this quarter. The repair and maintenance industry is perfectly positioned to help navigate the energy crisis. Meanwhile, there may be some benefits to take from the mini-budget, too, although we are yet to see what the full plan is.
