This years EMIR Open Day was held at Silverstone Circuit in the heart of Northamptonshire. The event open to existing users of EMIR software and prospective clients is a showcase of development and innovation that has taken place in the year.
The big announcement of the day was that Microsoft’s latest reporting and Dashboard information tool, PowerBi had been integrated to the core suite of EMIR Modules and Extensions. Attendees were shown how information recorded at the heart of the business and stored as history can be transformed into a graphical account of the state of the business using easy-to-read charts and reports. The Dashboards are distributed to everyone in the business that need to make decisions based on reliable, current information via a standard internet browser including board members, managers and department employees.
In this first release, the EMIR Team have released 7 fully functional Dashboards which correspond to each of the Modules in the main system which can be interrogated at the touch of the screen allowing the user to see the detail behind the summary. EMIR users can request customisation to existing Dashboards or have specific designs commissioned to meet specific business needs.
As well as updates on Smart Site and Workshop Routing, two mobile iOS and Android applications designed for recording data out on site and in the workshop, they announced the latest version of CRM, V7, an integrated CRM and marketing solution and a development plan which includes the creation of a customer focus group to decide on the specific direction of EMIR.
The day ended with a tour of this iconic venue. Time to stand on the podium and reflect on previous winners of Formula 1, race control and driver’s reception, then a tour bus adventure around the various circuits, garages and places of interest.
